Return/Exchange Policy

There is an exchange-only policy on defective products sold through eCRATER.com. You have 3 days from receipt to contact us to initiate the process and receive return authorization. Once we receive the defective product we will replace it at no cost to you.

If a returned product is deemed operational we will enforce cancellation policies for a shipped product.



Cancellation Policy

If you want to cancel your order, you must do so BEFORE your account has been deducted for payment for your order. There will be no charge for the cancellation. However, if your payment has been processed and you want to cancel your order, you will be charged a 25% restocking fee of your order. In addition, if an order has been marked as shipped (a tracking number has been generated and e-mailed to you) you will be responsible for ALL shipping charges. If a product is advertised with FREE SHIPPING it does cost us something to ship that product. These charges will be deducted from your refund.



Shipping Policy

We ship by ground within the continental United States using USPS and FedEx. Orders will be sent within 2 business days of receipt of payment. We will send you a tracking number once your order has been packaged and is ready for pickup. Arrangements can be made for international and air shipments.

Delivery Confirmation service is standard practice on all of our USPS orders.



Warranty Policy

There is a 1 year manufacturers warranty on all computer parts from the date of invoice. Some manufacturers offer longer warranties. Warranties will be honored by the manufacturer. There are 2 ways to receive warranty service:

1) Contact Things You Need. We will get a RMA# on your behalf. We will then forward it to you along with a shipping address and any special instructions.

Or,

2) You can contact the manufacturer yourself to initiate the warranty process.



Nintendo DS Lite Policies

1) Functionality Checklist:
Power on/off check, both screens must turn on and display properly, no cracks in the screens, the touchscreen must respond to the stylus, volume control up/down check, all buttons must operate, mic and speaker check, Game Boy slot should accept a game cartridge and play, DS slot should accept a game cartridge, play and eject, the battery should be able to take a charge and hold a charge, all LED’s should light, headphone jack must accept standard headphones and be able to be heard, wireless connection check. We will not be held responsible for a unit damaged during shipment to us. Insure your package when you ship.

2) Shell Replacement
If your unit should fail ANY of the above tests we will not perform the shell replacement unless we are made aware of the failures ahead of time. We will give you a refund, less return shipping charges, if the shell replacement cannot be performed. Thank you.

3) Top Screen Replacement
If your unit should fail ANY of the above tests, other than the top screen not displaying properly or having a crack, we will not perform the top screen replacement unless we are made aware of the failures ahead of time. We will give you a refund, less return shipping charges, if the top screen replacement cannot be performed. Thank you.

4) Slot 1 Game Cartridge Replacement
Because of a faulty DS game slot the following tests will not be able to be performed prior to the replacement: touchscreen and mic checks, and the DS slot check in which it should accept a DS game cartridge, play, and eject. However, these tests will be performed as part of the functionality tests after the repair is completed. We will not be held responsible if any of these checks should fail after the repair because there was no indication that they worked prior to the repair. We will cover the DS game slot to the point where it can accept a DS game and eject it properly. We will not be held responsible if DS games cannot be loaded or played properly because of any prior damage.

5) There is no return of your original repaired/replaced items. If you want your DS Lite parts returned there will be an additional $3.00 for shipping and handling.

Power on/off check, screen must turn on, all buttons and joystick must operate, speaker check, UMD slot (disc slot) should accept a disc, play and eject, memory card slot should accept a memory card and eject, the battery should be able to take a charge and hold a charge, all LED’s should light, headphone jack must accept standard headphones and be able to be heard, wireless connection check (this includes turning on/off the WLAN switch). We will not be held responsible for a unit damaged during shipment to us. Insure your package when you ship.

2) Screen Replacement
If your unit should fail ANY of the above tests, other than the top screen having a crack, we will not perform the screen replacement unless we are made aware of the failures ahead of time. We will give you a refund, less return shipping charges, if the screen replacement cannot be performed. Thank you.

3) There is no return of your original repaired/replaced items. If you want your PSP parts returned there will be an additional $3.00 for shipping and handling.
